Sin and my icemaker

One of the joys of homeownership is filing your taxes and getting a fat refund. Now all you suckers renters have to carry my load, since I can barely be considered a taxpayer. On the other hand, when something breaks you can just call the landlord, and if you're not stuck with rent control you'll probably get your problem fixed quickly. As an owner nothing gets done unless you do it yourself.

So, shortly after moving into our new house, our icemaker stopped working. That was a year ago. It still doesn't work. I figured it was just bad luck since we were new homeowners, but now I know I must have upset the gods, and being spiteful and nasty they decided to mess with me. Or Sin was just bored. Either way, go read about it on Dave's site [his experience with the gods was much crueler.] You'll find much better writing than on my site, plus his splash page is rad.
