One popular meme last year was a challenge: to read 50 books. I think I'll take up this challenge this year, or at least what's left of the year. I'll keep this as a static page and will update the books as I get to them. I will generally follow the guidelines established by David Harris, as modified by Amber at Prettier than Napoleon (who I blame for this exercise).
I will not count re-reads, but that means you, dear reader, can't laugh when you discover I've never read anything that passes for "literature." I do not have a list of books prepared, but I don't imagine I'll have any trouble adding titles. I will read from a variety of genres, but will exclude everything I read for work, since those books will have limited interest for most readers. I will also not count books I use for my monthly book club. So let's get started:
- Mind Over Money, by Eric Tyson. 2006.
- Complications, by Atul Gawande, 2002.
- God's Debris, by Scott Adams, 2004.
- Coach, by Michael Lewis, 2005.
- The Salmon of Doubt, by Douglas Adams, 2002.
- The Religion War, by Scott Adams, 2004.
- The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. 1943.
- From Bauhaus to Our House, Tom Wolfe, 1981.
